What will you do?-

To mark the passing of the years? To contribute to the world at large- or just your neighborhood? What will you do to challenge the status quo? To explore new musical galaxies? To put the performance into performance art? To re-join art and entertainment? To feed into the grassroots movements and DIY cultures that spring up around the globe with fresh answers for when society becomes bogged down? To probe the metaphysical questions that John Coltrane pondered? What will you do?

We started a band.

Clad in silver and white, LoveBomb Go-Go of Portland, Oregon: Intergalactic freaks on a mission to mend, with music, the divisions of civilization; seeking universal equality and striving, even, to re-establish purposefulness for each and every life.

Now we enter the third year of our band’s life- having in the space of one short year gone from street performance to playing for 13,000 at the World Naked Bike Ride, from Monday night at Burgerville to warming up for Grammy Award winners Rebirth Brass Band, from out of the blue to playing Seattle’s popular Folklife and Bumbershoot festivals.

LoveBomb Go-Go has appeared on stage with:
The Flaming Lips
Leftover Salmon
The Coup
Thao and The Get Down Stay Down
and warmed up for:
Rebirth Brass Band
Beats Antique
Delhi 2 Dublin
The Red Elvises
Sir Mix-a-lot.
DJ Young Venom
DJ Young Venom
Born in the home of some the world's most influential artist, DJ Young Venom's Mississipppi roots have afforded him an ear for great music. Though exposed to blues and R & B at an early age, hip hop caught Young Venom's attention in high school. He had a passion for collecting music before he even saw a turntable and began downloading mixtapes by Green Lantern and Red Alert. Aside from being able to blend classic funk-soul music with a signature disco-house groove, Young Venom is a skilled visual artist in drawing, painting, and graphic design. With creativity as his medium, DJ Young Venom's artistic expression is evident with each mix.
After working as an A & R executive, Young Venom met Program Director Kwasi Kwa who help him acuminate his craft as a DJ. Under the auspices of Violator DJ's D.O.C., Scrap Dirty, D Lo, and Da Nupe T Coxx, DJ Young Venom worked relentlessly and has been recognized as one of the best in Jackson, MS. He has quickly made a name for himself as a featured DJ at "Jubilee Jam" music festival in 2007 and 2008, and was recently named one of Jackson, Mississippi's best DJ's by the Jackson Free Press. Young Venom has also been the featured DJ at the "80's Babies Party," Jackson's first-ever "SneakerBall," and the "Rep Yo' City" dance battle where crews from New Orleans, Memphis, Florida, and Alabama competed live. In 2009 his soulful approach to Djing hit the airwaves in Jackson, MS as 30 minute mixshow on Sundays. The show Neo Soul Cafe' became so popular it was extended to 3 hours and featured co-host and mentor DJ Scrap Dirty. Renamed Tru Soul Cafe', the show's success made the young dj an official member of the Violator DJs.
Lisbon Deaths
Lisbon Deaths
Lisbon Deaths is a four piece guitar pop band formed early 2016 in Jackson, Ms. The group began playing together when guitarist and vocalist Chris Morrison joined members from two fallen projects, No Maam's Lacy Ellinwood and Sarah Grace MacInnis and Derek Middlebrook of The Standard Life. Pulling their name from a favorite Sophia Coppola movie the group connects and finds inspiration in film and art as well as music. With hopes of creating interesting but familiar pop songs that relied heavily on guitar the bands first collection have hints of early albums by The Cure and Talking Heads as well as the bands of the early 2000s guitar rock revival ala The Strokes and Interpol. But what pins the bands unique sound is an overtone of 90's nostalgia that seems effortless being that most of the band grew up in that decade and naturally fall into that aesthetic. "We're just making music that we would listen to.."

The band have plans to record their first full length in December 2016 with producer Misha Hercules. Until then be sure to catch one of there swooning live performances!
