Dialogue: Chicago Tribute Band
Dialogue: Chicago Tribute Band
Dialogue - everybody's favorite Chicago tribute band, is the brainchild of Jackson Mississippi area trombonist Michael Weidick, who noticed that tunes from the group Chicago are rarely played by local cover bands if at all. Why was this? The answer lies in the fact that Chicago is such a unique band and it's members were such phenomenal musicians that in order for the tunes to truly sound authentic, you not only needed a horn section (that was obvious) but you needed top notch musicians from the area willing to put in the many hours of rehearsal to pull them off. With no guarantee of any gigs (or money for that matter) these musicians came together in February of 2012 to see what they could do. With musicianship as the main goal (and the chance to play some really cool tunes), over time, things began to come together. To their astonishment people really liked what they were doing and audiences showed up for their shows from the get go. Members include lead vocalist John Powell, drummer Steve Cook, bassist Paul Weidick, keyboardist Richard Smith, on guitar and vocals is Rick Moreira, on woodwinds is David Battaglia and on trumpet and vocals is Richard Beverly with Michael Weidick playing the trombone.
